  14. There are two possibilities how to install the Windows drivers:
  15.  
  16.     1) Using the SPEA V7SETUP (quick installation, update)
  17.     2) Using the Windows SETUP program (standard installation)
  18.

  20. 1) Via the SPEA V7SETUP (Quick Installation, Updating an older 
  21.    SPEA BigWin Driver)

  23.     Start Windows and choose at the Program Manager:
  24.             PROGRAM-RUN
  25.     and type B:\V7SETUP.
  26.  
  27. 2) Via the Windows SETUP Program (Standard Installation)
  28. --------------------------------------------------------
  29.     Exit Windows and start the program SETUP from the windows directory, 
  30.     choose at DISPLAY "Others", insert the new disk in the corresponding 
  31.     drive and press RETURN. Now follow the instructions given by the 
  32.     Windows SETUP program.

  35. Note:    Updating any existing drivers via SPEA V7SETUP the icon SPEAview
  36. =====    will not installed automatically if you kill the SPEA/V7 group. 
  37.          Please refer the MicroSoft Windows documentation about information 
  38.          how to integrate this program into the program manager.
  39.  
  40. Note:    The BigWin driver uses VESA in some resolutions modes as well.   
  41. =====    So, if VESA support is required, a small memory resident program
  42.      should be executed. 
  43.      Copy from this disk the program V7MIRVBE.EXE on your harddisk and
  44.      insert the program call in your AUTOEXEC.BAT file.
  45.  
  46. Note:
  47. =====    V7SETUP adds new line in SYSTEM.INI under title [CAD1K.DRV],
  48.     BASEADDRESS=0, required for BigWin. Only if system has more
  49.     than 32 MB RAM, SYSTEM.INI should be edited and this value 
  50.         be changed to 1.

  57.     1) During first installation the driver will be installed with the 
  58.     lowest possible refresh rate at the chosen resolution.
  59.     If you use a high-class multi-sync monitor and you choose a
  60.     resolution 1024x768 and above, synchronisation problems may occur.
  61.     To prevent this, please choose at first the resolution
  62.     640x480. Afterwards you can change to the preferred resolution and
  63.     refresh rate with the utility V7SETUP, witch appears automatically 
  64.     after starting Windows.
  65.     
  66.     2) While installing the Windows drivers, you may be prompted for the
  67.      "V7-MIRAGE Driver for Windows disk" and the drive A:\ will be
  68.      displayed. When this happens, enter "B:\" if this diskette is in the
  69.      B: drive.  
  70.      If "Problem with disk drive A:" message is displayed, and the 
  71.      installation disk is in drive B:, press ESC twice, and re-enter "B:"
  72.      in the space provided.
  73.      The cause for these inquiries is a Microsoft WINDOWS routine.

  75.     3) Installing graphical drivers for Windows and Virus Check Programs
  76.      Virus check programs, such as the DOS 6.0 internal one, which search
  77.      for changes at *.exe and *.com files, detect changes at the file
  78.      win.com after installing the SPEA V7 BigWin driver. This is not a
  79.      virus, because while installing the driver, driver supplements will
  80.      be saved in this file.

  82.         4) If you have a MIRAGE with BIOS 3.05 and you use RAMBIOS version
  83.          3.07 the frequenzes are not shown correctly by V7SETUP.

  89.     1) The SPEA V7 BigWin Driver may not be used in 80286 based
  90.     systems. 
  91.  
  92.     2) VDD limitation:  Cannot execute any VGA graphics modes in a 
  93.     windowed mode. The XGA driver supplied by Microsoft has a similiar 
  94.     limitation.  
  95.  
  96.     3) True Color:
  97.     If you use more than 15 icons in one program group, a message will
  98.     tell you that not all symbols are converted correctly. These symbols 
  99.     will be displayed in black. This is caused by a Microsoft Program 
  100.     Manager limitation.
  101.  
  102.         4) If you use resolutions with 16 colors and you open a DOS Box 
  103.         you have problems with colors.
